 On January 27, 2010 we lost a talented member of our blues community - Timmy
Hamel. He was 61.
There was a tremendous turnout for his memorial jam at Gulfport on the Rocks; the place was literally packed with musicians and friends. His guitar was played by the guitarists who knew him then it was retired, fittingly, after Colin Ward played it in the final set. The songs listed below feature Tim from various jams in years past. |

| What I thoroughly enjoyed about my sets with Tim was his willingness to get creative with a familiar tune to give it a fresh sound. One day we'd play the song as a rhumba, another day we'd play it funky, or as a shuffle or with a wild guitar effect. Check out the songs below left for some good examples: | ||
